Storyline

The film The Insane Flew Away is an Iranian production released in 2003, written and directed by Ahmad Reza Motamedi. Using a symbolic and metaphorical language, the film explores economic corruption, rent-seeking, and post-war class conflict. At the 21st Fajr Film Festival, the film won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress, Best Film, and Best Original Score. The cast includes Niki Karimi, Ali Nasirian, Parviz Parastooei, and Ezzatollah Entezami.
