Storyline
The series The Gospel of the Savior (Jesus Christ) is a 2009 Iranian production, directed by Nader Talebzadeh. The story takes place during a time when the priests, Romans and the corrupt Herodian government controlled Judea (Palestine). During this time, a prophet appeared, bearing signs of unity and mysticism. He resisted the power and corruption of Herod and the Romans, but the hypocrisy of the priests proved effective and he answered the call of his Lord and ascended. Actors in the series include Ahmad Soleiman-Nia, Ahmad Najafi, Fathali Oveisi and Mina Baqeri
