Storyline

"The Grand Scribe" is a religious-historical teleplay produced in Iran in 2022. The screenplay and artistic direction were handled by Mehdi Ghafoori, and the television direction was by Ali Ebadi. The series is adapted from the book “Confessions of the Killed Scribe” and narrates events from the night before Ashura to the afternoon of Ashura, set in the enemy's camp. It tells the story of the scribes of Yazid's army during the tragedy of Ashura.
