The governor of Kufa, "Walid ibn Uqbah", holds a magic show in the mosque. "Jondab", a companion of Imam Ali, protests and kills the magician. "Walid" imprisons him...

Jondab's companions attack the prison at night and help him escape. Walid sentences "Dinar" to death for helping Jondab escape. “Malek al-Ashtar” meets Jondab....

The Caliph, dismisses “Ibn Mas'ud”. While Walid is delivering a speech in the mosque, "Ibn Mas'ud" enters and demands the 100,000 dinars he owes to the public treasury....

Walid holds a meeting in his palace, asking the Kufa officials to judge between him and the Sheikh. This leads to disputes among the elites and division among the people....

The Sheikh’s supporters urge “Malek al-Ashtar” to stop him from leaving Kufa. Despite the protests, the Sheikh is forced to leave….

Walid, while drunk, leads the morning prayer and He prays the wrong number of rakats, which angers the people. "Malek" believes only Imam Ali can remove Walid from power....

Angered by Walid's corruption and the beating of the Sheikh, people go to “Aisha” and recount what happened. “Aisha” gives a fiery speech against Walid, prompting the Caliph to summon him…

“Marwan” waits for Muawiyah’s army, but they don't arrive. He turns to Imam Ali for help. The Caliph asks Imam Ali to accept arbitration, and Ali reluctantly agrees….
